Mark L. Kusler

Sherburn, MN:  A private family funeral service for Mark L. Kusler, age, 69, of Madelia and formerly of Sherburn, MN, will be held at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Sherburn, MN.  Mark passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at REM-Heartland in Madelia, Minnesota. 
The Kramer Family Funeral Home of Welcome, Sherburn, and Trimont, MN, is assisting the family with arrangements.  

Mark Loren Kusler the son of Wilmer and LaVerne (Weires) Kusler was born on April 21, 1956  in Jackson, Minnesota was the third of eight children.  He loved the freedom of the lake life and growing up with his family on the north shore of Fox Lake, Sherburn, Minnesota.  Mark could be seen fearlessly riding his banana seat bike down the big hill of the lane.  He would often tow his red wagon behind him, many of which ended up lost in the lake.
Mark attended Sherburn Public Schools for a short time.  For many years of his life he lived in COR facilities in Sherburn.  He attended REM in Fairmont, Minnesota for his day program until his retirement in 2023.  He most recently enjoying living at REM Heartland in Madelia, Minnesota.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother, LaVerne Kusler of Sherburn, Minnesota; siblings, Kathy (Glen) Petersen of Huxley, Iowa, John Kusler of Vernon Center, Minnesota, Margaret Rosenberg of Tuttle Lake, Iowa, Teresa (Steve) Cooling of Madelia, Minnesota, Pat (Dave) Fleming of Madelia, Minnesota, Matt Kusler of Alpha, Minnesota and Liz (Brent) Kusler of Alexandria, VA and other relatives.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Wilmer Kusler and other relatives.
A heartfelt “thank you” to all the staff at COR in Sherburn and Rem-Heartland in Madelia, Minnesota for their loving care they gave Mark.  You made his life special and so full of love.
