SHERBURN: A Celebration of Life Service for Joan K. Rosen, 94, of Sherburn, Minnesota will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, (317 South Main St.) in Sherburn, Minnesota with burial in Sherburn Cemetery in Sherburn, Minnesota.
Joan was called to her eternal rest on Sunday morning, February 15, 2026 at Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church

Joan was born June 5, 1931, in Welcome, Minnesota, to Vinie and Garem Faber. She was baptized on August 30, 1931 and later confirmed on March 25, 1945. Joan grew up on the family farm and attended rural country school. On June 6, 1948, she married Oscar Rosen and started a devoted partnership that lasted a lifetime. Together they farmed in Manyaska Township and later in Jay Township. After retiring from farming in 1989, they made their home in Sherburn, Minnesota. Joan moved to Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont, Minnesota in 2017.
She loved playing cards, bingo, sewing, crocheting, and visiting with friends. She and Oscar spent many winters in Arizona and especially enjoyed family trips to Perham, Minnesota. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church.
She is survived by her children: Curtis (Peggy) Rosen, Thomas (Susan) Rosen, Mark (Michelle) Rosen, and Linda Savage (husband Brad Krohn); her grandchildren: Josh (Sheree) Savage, Heidi (Dave) Onken, Lee (Von) Rosen, Amie (Pete) Gamboian, Tony (Doris) Haggar, Brittnie (Chuck) Rosen, and Bradie Rosen (fiancé Bobby Jo Steffl); thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; her parents; her parents-in-law, Carl and Hulda Rosen; her brother Lester (Evangline & Dorothy)Faber; and brother in law, Adolph (Laura) Rosen: her sister in laws, Melinda (George Brasel & Herb Huve): Adelia (Alfred) Ehlert, and Lucile (Wilbert) Becker
